Cal 18,769 Posted February 6, 2019 Report Share Another great piece Jess. Hmmm, I haven't been to KFC in quite awhile... I really like how that one feather comes outside the frame, a very 3-D visual. Quote Link to comment

Smallpatch 12,758 Posted February 6, 2019 Report Share I used semi-gloss spay lacquer. Gene I had to add a short piece of wood to get it that long so I added a 1/8" dowel for strength but then I forgot to put dark stain on the bottom side. and made it too thick where is come up off the bottom.. I will stain the bottom area to help the looks.. My problem I mix all my colors as I go and don't save any formulas. An extra larger eye ball from Walmart! I also meant to add some of the bottom feathers over the frame but then forgot. With the horse picture and rooster going at the same time I had a full house of pieces on lots of flat areas.. More or less a trial to see how manageable that would be. I first decided to use water colors on the bird but are mostly printers ink. Quote Link to comment
Grandpadave52 49,326 Posted February 7, 2019 Report Share That is one fancy looking rooster Patch. IT turned out magnificent. Your color tones and blends are great. The Mrs. should be quite proud of the work you did on this. She truly got a unique, one-of-a-kind piece. Glad you shared here in the gallery. Quote Link to comment
