The only way I could describe it is "acorn" I don't know if that was the makers (Jim Eckler) intent or not, but he demonstrated his carving skill beautifully. I really love love love this saw.

I suspect that is spot on description. The detail is spectacular. It just shows there is a market for high quality craftsmanship, workmanship, design and functionality. Beautiful tool.
