Firefighter Memorial

Made for a fellow chainsaw charger in Indiana. He is doing a memorial  wall in support of ptsd , in which involves, vets, ems , and police. I figured I'd  pitch in. The flames are airbrushed in teal to represent ptsd. Kind of a mix going on but turned out very appealing. Enjoy!

Exquisite detail and perfect contrasts Dale.

Very humbling and moving piece.

Happy to hear it's coming somewhere here in the Hoosier State.

Thanks guys! Yes it is going to Trenton or around there to a carver named Steve Gore, who is building this memorial wall. It's listed as chainsawsforcharity.com. check him out.

The memorial wall will be taking a U.S. tour  once it is done. It is 35 feet long and over 35,000 pounds rolling. Just a few facts on it.

Well Trenton is on the map, but no longer incorporated.:P However, Trenton is just a few minutes due East of @Ron Dudelston...maybe he can skip over there in his spare time and get a first person look and some pictures.

I'll check out his site too. Thanks!

Awesome...I'll watch for any local news coverage as well as any stops on this side of the state. Quite an honor to have your work included as a part of this. Thanks!!

It must be a different Trenton, Indiana.  Trenton used to have only a general store and now it is gone.  There is just a crossroads there.  I haven't heard anything about it.  Dale, if you find out more let me know.

Ron I believe it's  the one because a few fb  friends live in that area. They said you blink you'll miss it. I'll have to ask. They did mention crossroads. I was invited to chainsaw carve on the memorial so I may be flying out.

Keep me in the loop, Dale.  Steve is from Batesville which is in southern Indiana, maybe 90 minutes from here.

Yes they just did it. I keep in touch with Steve very regular. We text each other or call. His grand parents are right where I moved In Johnstown Pennsylvania. Small world. He did a veterans day carve down in Branson Missouri last fall. I was to go but couldn't because of current house situation. We will be linking up here some way or another.

Dale, if you make it out to Trenton let me know when. I live ~2-1/2+ hours West. I'd enjoy the opportunity to meet you.

Maybe we could get Ron to spring for dinner on the "company expense account."

Of course if you're flying in to Trenton, make sure your parachute is working.:D
