Pine Kitchen Island

The center island was built with open shelving, my customer wanted open shelving in much of the kitchen. They placed baskets on top of the shelves which I thought was a great touch.

The top is 1 /12" maple butcher block purchased at the local hardwood lumber dealer.

The whole kitchen casework is awesome. It all goes really well with the Saltillo. Presume the rest of the house is South of the Border style.

It is Gene, the whole home was built in the adobe style, exterior as well. It was a plastered exterior with big radius rounded building corners, a flat roof with parapet, and clay drainage tubes exiting at the top of the home.

Here is a distorted Google Earth image of the home, I could not get the street view to work as apparently it was not driven by Google, it is a gated private community.. But at least you'll get some idea of the style of the home.
