February 9, 201313 yr Maybe like kings or Popes....John the First, John the Second...etc. PWW John l looks like an impressive moniker, doesn't it?Got the upper case assembled yesterday and the router bits came, too. I guess today, I'll be dressing more lumber. The plans call for a really strange way of mounting the door. 3/4"X1" "stiffeners" on the inside of the case, mortised for hinges on one side. I decided to change it to a face frame and use European style hinges. Gene'The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him.' G. K. February 9, 201313 yr Author That sounds like a good change Gene. You are going to share these new revised, corrected plans with the rest of us aren't you? John MoodySite AdministratorJohn Moody Woodworkshttp://www.johnmoodywoodworks.com
February 9, 201313 yr Revisions are done on the fly, in my head. I'll definitely share the end product, though. Here's what it will look like except with a 3/4X1 1/2" face frame. So, the door will be a tad smaller all the way around. Gene'The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him.' G. K. Chesterton
