May 30, 201312 yr Author Just an update- Put the saw back together and the piece seems to do OK. Did get a response back from Grizzly. They said they would not check their part against my measurements. The part I thought might work wasn't expensive $9.25 but another $9 for shipping and tax to send it and if it didn't fit, I could send it back- another $9 for shipping and restocking fee.I'll see how long my repair job holds out.Lew Kauffman-Wood Turners Forum HostTime traveler. May 31, 201312 yr Author Thanks, James, but mine is the original guide block holder- no bearings. This morning I got a reply back from CH Wilke. The DO have the part in stock!!!!!! I am subbing all next week but I think I can get to their business before they close in the afternoon and pick one up. Getting there just before closing will be a blessing/curse. I'll get my part but not have any time to shop!Lew Kauffman-Wood Turners Forum HostTime traveler. Purveyor of the world's finest custom rolling pins!

May 31, 201312 yr Lew, Â If it's not an expensive part, I'd get two. Better to have one and not need it, than to need one and not have it. Â Larry Old Woodworking Machinery Forum Host

June 1, 201312 yr That's good news. I had a hunch they could fix you up. Back when they were "Wilke Machinery" I bought a Bridgewood wide belt sander from them. They were always top notch when ever I need them. June 1, 201312 yr Author I always liked going there. They treated Mimi and I like family, even though I never bought their really expensive stuff. But, My shop is Bridgewood Green!Richard McComas said:That's good news. I had a hunch they could fix you up. November 1, 201312 yr Grizzly has a policy of not "helping" to sell you a part for another brand. If you can figure out the part exchange and you take your part with you to one of their part centers (I use Springfield, MO) they will let you compare the parts and then they will sell it to you. I did that last year with some 14" bandsaw parts. They had updated with a substitution, and I had to buy a few extra metric parts, but all of the parts were less than $40. Also on the imported stuff I cruise by Harbor Freight with the part. They actually have very reasonable replacement parts.Dan Coleman
November 1, 201312 yr Author Thanks, Dan!Actually, I contacted the guys who used to work at Wilke Machinery- they now run C.H. Wilke. They have a stockpile of Bridgewood parts. They had exactly what I needed for $14!! Daniel Coleman said:Grizzly has a policy of not "helping" to sell you a part for another brand.
