Ron Dudelston Posted August 26, 2014 Report Posted August 26, 2014 Yesterday I cut out the table top and posted the "how to" here on TPW. Today, we had to make decisions on the design of the apron, pedestal and legs so my sister came over and we chatted about it. I cut an octagonal apron that is 3" high and got the go ahead on it so I don't have to form a circular one (YEA!!!) We also decided on an octagonal pedestal so today, I made a pedestal and here it is. It measures 29 1/2" tall by 10" across. The shape of the four legs has been left up to me but I do know that I have to laminate together four sections of backs from the pews to get the 3 inch oak to cut them from. Quote
Ron Dudelston Posted August 26, 2014 Author Report Posted August 26, 2014 Thank my Wixey Lew. I found a web site that calculated the width of each slat and I set my table saw up with a Wixey to get a perfect 22.5 degree angle and it worked well. Also didn't hurt that the Lord has been overseeing this project. After all, it is His table. Quote
Ron Dudelston Posted August 27, 2014 Author Report Posted August 27, 2014 Thanks Gene. It is truly a work in progress. Quote
John Moody Posted August 27, 2014 Report Posted August 27, 2014 Ron that is looking great. Post the link to that web site. That would be some useful information to store away. Quote
