And I'm packing!

I think the idea of packing up my shop will keep me where I currently live. 🤷‍♀️Just reorganizing was a feat! Wishing you strength for the task ahead.

Do you have a place to go yet?????

This fall we will have lived here 59 years. Can you imagine how much stuff we have accumulated, and we didn't even have kids!

Barb, when we moved here this was supposed to be our forever home.

Still moving to our friends home in Aiken South Carolina and we'll be there for a couple months Fred, from there wife and I will explore the Carolinas, North East GA, East TN, and see if we can find a town we love. From the trips we've taken back there thus far we are honing on the North West Corner of SC, and the NE Corner of GA, we like the lakes and the mountains. We are also looking at South West corner of NC.

Back during my day job days I spent a fair amount of time in NW South Carolina/NW georgia area, I love it down there. Marie, not so much (too hot was the reason). But those are all good choices.

We even considered VA Fred, it's beautiful up there, but the state taxes would of killed us. And, I am not sure if we'd be jumping from the fire into the frying pan on that move, seems the politics may be more of the same where we are coming from.

I would love that beyond anything Ron! Reality is we are heading the southern route, but, once we get settled in, we'll make that route!

Well...we are in the ongoing process of updates so at times just moving looks attractive.

I like your approach to finding your future home. Nice to be able to check into the areas before actually getting to the point of looking for a house (and shop!).
