One of my favorite channels, Montwood. Her Tea Chair.

After the weekend rain, it's a little too wet to do any of my needed outdoor stuff so I'm puttering on my sideboard project. I think we may be getting near the end. Tomorrow is occupied by medical visits, the rest of the week I'll probably be in the yard.

Delivered the salt/pepper grinders and then finished sanding the "platter" made from a piece of elm burl.

Probably ruin it with wipe on poly. Usually apply that with the lathe spinning. Can't do it with this piece. Was gonna try spray lacquer but I always get an orange peel finish.

Will be seeing my oncologist on Wednesday, lungs feel good so I'm hoping for good blood results. Thursday I'll be visiting the spine center to have a nerve test or scan not quite sure. I have a pinched nerve in my neck & it's causing my left arm pain and numbness. It's been 5 weeks now & I'm ready for some relief.

Bob, good vibes coming your way, and prayers, enough of this health stuff anymore, our Patriot Woodworker's need to get right!😁

I watched the video on our former church's sermon from Sunday. The pastor talked about things in the church. She featured the memory candle stand I made a few years ago. I used the butternut that I harvested from a tree that got blown down in the F5 tornado that went thru my uncle's property on the day had had a heart attack and died the next day.

Also a display cabinet for church history items that I made before that.

In the church before that, I made 35 bookcases for their library and offices when they added an addition. Then as I was near moving away, a couple of us remade a room into a chapel. Cabinets to hold the A/V equipment, a lecturn, and wainscoting around the room, also rehabbed an old kneeling bench.

Slightly off in location of pilots so used pencil sharpener (old school type that my MIL gave me🙂) on some

dowels. CA and will cut flush after lunch when hopefully I'll get the pilots correctly in place.

Envy your setup and shop space!

Very blessed to have this space. The mitersaw was on plywood bolted to an old wood kitchen table prior to this upgrade.

Not much of a weekend but Monday was burn day. We got most of the vines and saplings and roots burned . Still a fair amount to go. Today was a bust because I was totally wipped out. Wife had Dr appointment this afternoon and that wiped it out. May get some mowing done tomorrow.

I've been looking into drawers liners. In the past I had a type that left "residue" on the metal of some tools so am trying to do better with my selection. Have looked on Amazon (like this one) but interested if anyone has used a particular product that has proved to be good. Guessing most that are listed for tool boxes should be ok.

Stars are finally done! He mainly used these two Dremel bits - the first to "trace" and the other to clean out the middle.

Pretty happy guy.

Now to clean and sand the back, get finish on all surfaces, and figure out a secure method to hang the flag on the wall.

That smile says it all! Amazing work, Congratulations on a successful project!
