Thanks for the suggestion but In Kansas high quality Cherry is an exotic. ours, what little there is is anything but red, but i understand what you are saying about work arounds but every now and then you want to splurge.

I went to see a guy on Facebook marketplace today and bought around 8 pieces of exotic lumber for close to half price.
