Could you please provide the dimensions? And after the first one, would you make any changes other than wood choices? Thanks.

The upright face part is around 10x9 inches with the slot at around 1.75 inches from the bottom. I just did a glueup rather than trying to cut the slot. The angled support board is 7.5 inches long and fits in the slot which is about 7.25 inches wide. I added a lip on the front so I could hide the screw heads plus it is a stop for the angled board.

In addition to wood types, I may go a bit thicker - although I put a big Grizzly catalog on it and it was fine. This is the first time I used a handle as the book holder. I like that it won't obstruct the view of content on the pages, but not sure I'm sold on the look. I've seen someone use dowels and didn't like that design. I have a small stand that I added wood, but not sure if a small lip would be enough to hold open a larger cookbook (also this one is a bit thick, although I like the look with the walnut).
