Had some ice on trees Sunday early but that let up and stopped freezing up around 1.

Thankful it wasn't any worse. I saw some YouTube videos of Oxford. It looked like a war zone there from the ice damage.

I’m continuing to rearrange the shop area. Yesterday my husband helped me move my table saw. I have always had the TS in front of an overhead door so if I needed to rip a longer board, I could shift my worktable back on the infeed side and open the overhead door on the outfeed. I had to do this recently when it was frigid outside and would like to avoid having to open that overhead door now that the minisplit is in place. I watched a shop organization video by Bent and he noted that placing a table saw at a 45 degree angle (rather than square to the wall) can provide for more room to run wood through the saw along with space for walkway, etc. So, that’s what I’m trying. I now have 8-9 feet easily on the infeed and outfeed. Still working on the other arrangement of items. I am struggling with letting go of old worktables that really don’t work in the space anymore (how can I let them go when they were some of my very first projects?!?).

Anyway, today’s shop agenda is more of the “how to arrange this stuff” to let me get back to building projects!!

*sigh* I wish I had a stand alone shop. Mine is part of my garage. It's nice but... gee.. I wish had a stand alone shop. *sigh*

Sorry - I didn't mean to share too much on this! I'm very blessed to now be able to repurpose the area that used to be a workout room (shifted that into the house) along with space that was originally storage, but slowly became a place I could do woodworking. We didn't have the pole barn built with woodworking in mind (definitely would have done some things differently), but thankful for the updates we have slowly made that gives me a place to enjoy this hobby.

Hey Barb... absolutely no apology necessary. You did nothing wrong. I was just trying to be humorous by acting as a whiney baby! But... My shop is in the garage. 🙂

Good on ya!

Yes it was bad. Grandson said his apartment complex and hospital were the only ones with power in town. Ole Miss is closed til Feb 8 so he went home a couple days ago
