Nice! What did you use for finish? I've made several and typically have to refinish at some point as my pups have proven to spread about as much water as they consume!

mine was probably satin or semi gloss . I just grabbed a can . I have both. I probably will have put on eventually. But I only use it for his food.

That makes it much less likely to have damage. I have mine for water dishes so have to deal with "the splash" aspect.

it's where you put the woof cookies!!!

Since when? I never heard that's is healthier to eat with their food raised. I love the Shou Sugi Ban doggy food stand but Wow! ... So what about all the wild animals? What about wolves, coyotes, foxes? 😉

Dunno, it's what our vet told us to do but we never got around to it. But doing a little further research on the subject, it's a mixed bag of results, could be good, could be bad for your furry friends.

IMHO...I believe it's far more important WHAT a person gives them than HOW its given. Just sayin.. and certainly no offense meant.

No offense taken Rick. I can't be offended by anyone here.

That's almost written like a challenge, John! 😉

We adopted retired racing greyhounds for 25 years. We were blessed with 5 of them.  The vet absolutely recommended raised feeding bowls for them. Now we have a mini poodle (my brides once in a lifetime dog) and a Berndoodle.  We continued the tradition of raised bowls for these two. I made them custom for them. @Mark Wilson Excellent work, I enjoy the pop in the grain.
