Friday again,

 

Here in the land of "Two Weeks From Anywhere" we had our first "Freeze Warning" last night.

They were right, it happened. Woke up to 30° at around 5:00 AM.

Will spend weekend still playing catchup.

I've just started making a leg rest for in front of one of our couches. I've squared up all the stock and doing all of the 16 mortise and tenons at the moment. All hand tools only. 

 

I75 Northbound just past my exit. Huge hole has traffic from 3 lanes to 1.  

 

 

Working with Maple scraps....maybe go and check out a Estate Sale tomorrow?

Of course! 

Finishing the door frame replacement I started last weekend on my shed. The frame and trim rotted from water getting in through the threshold. After pulling all that out found the sheathing, flooring, outer rim joist, shoe plate and the header jack stud all rotted too. I’ve gotten all of that replaced, now back to where I started with the frame and trim.

Didn't set any fires this past week but accomplished a few tasks. Monitored a couple on-line auctions and scored a couple surprising deals so Thursday afternoon made my very first, unescorted outing in the past month to go to the pick-up sites. Drove on state roads versus interstate some portions which I haven't traveled in years. Nice sunny fall afternoon to enjoy the crop harvest progress and the changing leaves. Treated myself to a 7-Up and a couple donuts since I was a "good boy" and unsupervised.

 

So far this weekend I've done the bare minimum. I do plan to attend church tomorrow. Still have some "treasures" to unload out of the car, but most are for our daughter/ SIL/ grandsons.

Been at the Pumpkin Fest a AG last 4 days. Turned lots of tops but sales definitely lagged from past years. We unpacked several boxes tonight. She will put it up If I haul box in and take the stuff out. But not so much when I am gone. Maybe someday garage will be clear and shop all put up. 

 

Have another event about10 days out and then another the following weekens. Running a bit short on some items but if I don't make I just won't sell it. By the way the House has had two views with another scheduled today being canceled .
