Popular Post StaticLV2 Posted August 18 Popular Post Report Posted August 18 @Masonsailor has been a bad influence on me (and more specifically my wife) who has seen the pantry that he did a while back. So now I am in the process of building out a new pantry Lots and lots of panel glue-ups for the foreseeable future. In unrelated news I am learning to make sourdough pizza Al B, John Morris, Gerald and 8 others 8 3 Quote

Popular Post Grandpadave52 Posted August 18 Popular Post Report Posted August 18 Finished mowing again over the weekend just in time for the rains to return so mowing is again on tap for the week ahead but not today. I don't work well in the lightning. Mrs. is off work also today since she worked the weekend. Her Jeep needs RS, HID headlight bulb replaced. Still trying to figure out how to get to it. Replaced the left side a while back. That one was no picnic but at least accessible and somewhat visible once I removed enough parts. Tomorrow, chauffeuring Mrs. to a meeting with her region's counterparts on the West side of Indy. I'll be unsupervised for several hours near several tool stores, flea markets, big box stores, fire arms shops, numerous donut outlets, a Portillos and less than two miles from IRP/ Lucas Oil Raceway just ahead of the NHRA Summer Nationals...hmmm, hope I can find something to occupy my time. Only woodworking I've done recently was convert small limbs, sticks and bush trimmings to chips and shreds via the woodchipper. Kinda fun really except the noise even with hearing protection. Truth be told, quite similar to most fine woodworking projects I've attempted; results about the same and much faster. lew, steven newman, Gunny and 6 others 2 7 Quote

Popular Post DAB Posted August 20 Popular Post Report Posted August 20 people are funny. she comes to pick it up. likes how it turned out. says she wants to pay me for my work so i can do other things. cool. i pull out my wallet and find the HD receipt, show her that i bought 2 containers of Bondo, $23.98 each, call it $48, that's my cost of materials. she considers this for a moment, pulls out some cash from her pocket, and gives me $60. i say thank you. a gross profit of $12 for about 4 hours of work. i'm gonna get rich doing this, just not today......
