July 20, 2025Jul 20 Popular Post Moved our daughter into her first apartment. She’s only 45 minutes away but still pretty hard on the wife. She’s was about 3 hours away when she went to college, but this has a different feel to it. Proud of her for getting out and starting her life though.

July 20, 2025Jul 20 Popular Post Second day for theater set construction was on Saturday. Had 4 volunteers and we got some of the major pieces built. The shop manager was recovering from surgery so the assistant manager (c'est moi) took over for the day. The usual problems with 2x6s being warped and bowed and needing to be straight. July 21, 2025Jul 21 Tore out the steps to our back porch as they were starting to rot. Dug out the area to add pavers and enlarge the steps. I’m quite sore this evening and no not finished yet.
July 21, 2025Jul 21 Got some more dirt work done around the shop foundation. A bit of rain stopped that Friday. Saturday was Woodturning club meeting with 3 lathes and more . was a good day. Then on the way home picked up some boxes to pack up more in the shop. Today after Church pulled up some of the landscape blocks that were almost invisible to use as a walk in front of new shop. Tomorrow will pull some of the larger blocks which do not have dirt over the top. Then haul the lot to the Ranch. Gotta pick up some lumber and pull nails.
