Popular Post RustyFN Posted June 10 Popular Post Report Posted June 10 (edited) I bought this buffing disc from Woodturners Wonders. I had buffed some pieces with the Beal buffing system and ruined the finish, had to redo them. With this buffer everything came out verry shiny and smooth. No wax or anything, just the plain buffer. Gerald Posted June 11 Report Posted June 11 Speed is a critical factor in buffing and could have caused your problem with Beall. Then second is pressure. You are just buffing so a light touch is essential. I had lots of problems buffing lacquer till I learned these two essentials. Also remember with that style buffer the center is much slower than the outside. Grandpadave52, lew and Fred W. Hargis Jr 3 Quote

The problem with the Beal is sometimes the wheel is larger than what you want to fit into so you have to push a little harder. The Beal wheel is also more coarse where this disc is very soft. With this small disc on my die grinder it is very simple to use. I don’t think you could mess up the finish if you wanted to. Grandpadave52 and lew 2 Quote
