Popular Post Fred W. Hargis Jr Posted May 5 Popular Post Report Posted May 5 Still working on getting my lumber storage rearranged, but if it ever dries out enough I absolutely have to mow the lawn. Somewhere in there I'm still working on my displays for the Famous American Women coins. steven newman, HARO50, Grandpadave52 and 3 others 6 Quote

Raining here in SO CAL as well Larry, we have a different perspective on rain here, since we don't have seasons, it's exciting to see, even if we are floating down the street, it's exciting HARO50, Grandpadave52, JWD and 4 others 2 5 Quote
Popular Post JWD Posted May 5 Popular Post Report Posted May 5 So I found my blade welder yesterday - it was under something else (just imagine!) Spent a bunch of time mounting it on the wall, then found the 1/4" blade stock was a bit thin for the clamps so I shimmed the clamps. Got all set up to weld and nothing happened. Well, it's old and been moved several times since I last used it, probably a loose screw somewhere. Figured I would look at it later, had to get over to the neighbor's for a cookout. Only when driving to work this morning did I realize that probably the shims (cardboard) are insulating the clamps from the electricity. Going to make some copper ones and try again. Really glad I didn't take it all apart last night! What is it about driving? I swear I think better when I should be focused on the road! steven newman, Grandpadave52, Fred W. Popular Post Grandpadave52 Posted May 5 Popular Post Report Posted May 5 Saturday, SIL and daughter helped transport and unload a pallet (80, .75 cu ft bags) of garden soil for the new, yet to be placed, raised garden beds if and when it quits raining. When the rain, rain, goes away I hope to navigate my way through the yard jungle. Obstacles will be baseball or soccer matches every evening along with a couple meetings at church. Then, there's the matter of placing and filling the eight new raised garden beds. Donut see much time to reduce the donut debt. Fred W. Hargis Jr, Larry Buskirk, steven newman and 4 others 3 4 Quote

That reminds me...... I DO need to get the truck inspected in the morning. But I might have to get the boat inspected instead of the truck. Popular Post Gerald Posted May 6 Popular Post Report Posted May 6 Bandsaw tire burned up and got one on yesterday after the struggle. Yes we have ways. today was starting to cut up that 12 foot pecan log in the front yard. Ran out of gas and discovered it was down at the ranch. So to make the trip more productive I loaded some pavers and bricks to take down. Plus a bunch of compost . got there and decided to work on finishing the shooting line. Not quite done as yet but close. May put a cover on this eventually. so then the bricks go to a drainage creek to hopefully slow erosion. The picture is only part of the brick. Just a guess on most placement. Larry Buskirk, Grandpadave52, Fred W. Hargis Jr and 4 others 7 Quote

Envy you having a safe space for 2A practice. Even with 4 acres surrounded by corn/ soybean fields, too many roads with traffic nearby negates that here. lew, Gerald, Larry Buskirk and 3 others 4 1 1 Quote

Curiously on a private gravel road. Kinda like going back to my childhood going to Granny's house but much shorter trip. Grandpadave52, steven newman, Larry Buskirk and 3 others 5 1 Quote
