April 18, 20251 yr Popular Post Friday Folks. After spending most of the week moving some of our wildflowers due to, We Energies deciding they need to remove one more tree for their power line project and doing battle with the Stepsons 08 Equinox over an electrical problem that popped up after adjusting the valves I'm pretty much taking the weekend off. What's on Your Weekend Agenda?
April 18, 20251 yr Popular Post Have not been informed by the Boss, yet....as to what the weekend will be like... Stay tuned..
April 18, 20251 yr Popular Post Busy week; 2 soccer matches, lost both; two baseball games, 1-1; weather permitting another baseball game tonight and a soccer match tomorrow morning. Spent most of the afternoon yesterday gathering sticks and limbs for what good it will do. Need at least one more afternoon doing the same although probably not today with 40-50 mph winds forecast and storms tomorrow. Yard is really looking shaggy now. Mrs. took an unexpected day off today so I don't know yet what she has planned for me. Monthly men's breakfast tomorrow. Easter Sunrise services, breakfast, Easter services Sunday. Somewhere this weekend I need to work in the doughnut hunt.

Haven't got around to the "Pick Up Sticks" game yet but did manage to slide in distributing about a yard and a half of wood chips along the paths through what now really looks like a "Chaos Garden" with all of the piles of wood I've got to move/split/stack from the front of the yard. Also have to go over the mowers etc, etc, etc.. Wifes also retired so I find out "my plans" pretty much on a daily basis.
April 18, 20251 yr Popular Post We're serving dinner on Easter Sunday, so a fair amount of my time will be spent getting ready for that.
April 18, 20251 yr Popular Post Probably a round trip to several cemeteries. Then prepping for the visit from relatives that was cancelled last month. Somewhere in there is a multi-course meal including turkey and ham. I see an abundance of leftovers in my future. Ford at home service van was here this morning and did a warranty recall on my Maverick. The "mechanic" shows up with a laptop. Ahh, technology.
April 18, 20251 yr Popular Post Easter weekend, so no set construction on Saturday. Might get the mower up and running.
April 19, 20251 yr Popular Post Drained the fuel tank and ran the snowblower dry. Don't think I'll see much more of that white $#%* for a while! Hopefully!
April 19, 20251 yr Popular Post Worked on picnic table this afternoon and almost got it done. Just a couple braces and seat support. I milled this cedar a bit thick because of the rotten places to make sure it will hold up. Edited April 19, 20251 yr by Gerald
