February 24, 20251 yr Popular Post I'm trying to pull together the 5 bullets of what I accomplished last week so i won't be considered "resigned". I'll copy Musk on the post.
February 24, 20251 yr Popular Post I spent most of the weekend doing maintenance in the shop to get ready to start my next project. Cleaned my router bits, my miter saw and table saw blades, sharpened my wood chisels and a number of kitchen knives and changed out the sandpaper on my combo belt/disk sander. Today I started gathering up the materials to start a project to build my granddaughter a shelving unit for her bedroom. Went to HD for the small stuff, shelf pins, wooden drill hole plugs and wood filler then went to the local lumber yard to buy the needed wood because they are about 35-40 percent cheaper than HD. Got started cutting down the 4'x8' sheets of plywood to more manageable sizes so this old man can handle them. Hope to hit it a good lick tomorrow.
February 24, 20251 yr Popular Post Wound up in WalMart, today....looking for a new computer chair...old one broke a wheel off ( FUBAR) New chair was $75 + Sales Tax... Needed 2 boxes of screws ( was running out) so..on the way back through the Tool Aisle...I took 6 photos...hope nobody minds.. Ah won... and a 2.. and a 3.. and a 4.. and a 5.. and, they also sell the stands for these to sit on.... Might be about time to give these a closer look?
February 24, 20251 yr My shop is looking lonely. I spent a Couple hours packing boxes for my treatment in front of my table saw. I hate it but until I find a better place it will have to work. Pulled the battery out of the truck, hooked it up to the boat charger and said it was good. Back in the truck barely turns over. When I boost it cranks, pull the cables it dies. Something isn’t making a connection.. Edited February 24, 20251 yr by BillyJack
February 25, 20251 yr Popular Post Quiet weekend. Did some domestic chores, helped the Mrs. with a few more. Yesterday afternoon went to my youngest grandsons first round, tournament game for his 5th grade basketball, travel team league. They were the #1 seed; played the #2; not a pretty game but they won by 16 points. Our H.S. varsity boys and girls head coaches were there helping to coach. Championship games are this coming Sunday. They have a target on their backs. This same group has been playing together since kindergarten. Week ahead, daughter's birthday is Wednesday, a few errands, haul the recycling to recycle center then take my car through the manual car wash. I may venture out to the garage a couple afternoons while we have 50°+ temperatures.
February 25, 20251 yr Popular Post Think maybe @steven newman is getting ready to spend some real money. Spent most of the weekend sanding parts for the revolving bookcase. Meet with contractor today and if all works we may be able to move in by end of July. Started putting the bookcase together and is a little more complicated than I thought. so almost half way on assembly. Edited February 25, 20251 yr by Gerald

Bunk beds for the neighbor kids were the biggest thing I ever built in my basement shop. Had to make them in section, like you did, to get them up the steps
