Working on restoring my family’s old dining room table. Managed to crack one of the legs in a glue up mishap, so made some more work for myself.

Spent a couple hours or so Saturday digging out the snowblower and rearranging things. "Oil change sticker" shows 05/22. Filled the gas tank about 1/2 full, hit the primer bulb 10x, placed on full choke, it started on the 3rd pull. It does have electric start (110v) but I've only used that a couple times when it's been below zero.

It was worth the time and effort. Fresh air felt good. The much heralded winter storm only left us with maybe 3" of snow; southern part of our county received over 8". I may go out and "play" in the snow later. If not, there's tomorrow.

Funeral visitation Wednesday evening for the father of one of our church deacons. He fought a gallant and brave battle with ALS the past 3 years. He was 77. Good man, good farmer.

Pulling that rope is not good for the back Dave. Use that electric starter.

Thanks Al and yes you are correct; sadly, I'm just lazy and stubborn about dragging out a 25' extension cord to plug in. Usually it will start the first or second pull once it has been started for the season. It does have an "EZ pull" hand starter.

However, I do have flashbacks of late February, 2021 when I started it to put it away. At that time, I still remember the weird, funny feeling in my lower back. Even telling myself outloud, that didn't seem right. A couple of weeks later, I was undergoing back surgery. However, that was just the final straw that finally broke the camels, 'er Dave's back.:P

Have not decided on a base, yet.   This one is to hold a selection of Teas.

Set things up where the doors open, a rack will swing out, and the a second rack will swing out from behind the first one....

Stay tuned....

No kidding, you have to run the chisel gauntlet to pick up a plane.

You mean that is why my back hurts after using the chainsaw?  Durn thing doesn't have electric start!

The older I get, the less I mind plastic on chainsaws.... I keep my dad's old Homelite around for nostalgia's sake, and man that thing is heavy compared to my newer (yet larger) saw.

Nothing done this weekend as the kids were here for Christmas. Started doing a little straightening up in the shop yesterday . Same to happen today when I get there and maybe some turning.

We got about 9-11 inches of snow and were under level 2 travel advisory (necessary only).  One guy on TV news (that was 90 minutes of weather) said he needed to go to Speedway for a coffee.  Back roads weren't very clear and several trucks jackknifed on the main interstates.  Most schools and many businesses closed.   We stayed home.  Neighbor with a tractor was nice enough to plow out a path in the driveway.

In the meantime, I'm going thru old issues of Fine Woodworking Magazines.   Wife wants to get rid of them.

We went out Tuesday for a funeral.  Interstates were good, state highways were OK, country roads passable but often just one lane, parking lots pretty bad.

You got hit pretty hard, I saw this picture of a snowplow on it's side in Warren county. Neighboring Clinton county ws just as bad I guess. 4 of my 5 sisters live there and they said they have about that much snow as well. If things weren't bad enough I just saw a forecast of another 3" Friday.

Is this the "Tabs on the Weather" Topic?

If not, we got that trailer moved yesterday. ;)
