Walnut Run

I made a year end run to my favorite wood supplier (Frank Miller Lumber) this morning to get my recently purchased load of walnut.  I think I’m good for a while. The bottom picture is my garage stash of the walnut, oak, cherry, maple and a dab of pecan

Sweet score Ron. That should keep you busy this winter. Hope Dorothy got a nice breakfast out on this trip.

Didn’t have room for her, Dave.  In fact, I made it home as she was crawling out of bed.

Well now we know where to go for a New Years Treat. great haul

That's quite a bit of walnut, is that what you use most? (and it is a good haul)

Nice run Ron! Hey, if you don't mind me asking, what's your walnut in your area at that lumber mill going for per foot?

Fred,I use cherry, walnut and oak in that order but lately about all of my veteran flag cases have been walnut.

John,

I stole this at $5.50 a bf.  My business price is just a tad south of $8.00 usually.

Thanks for the info Ron, just trying to get a handle on what lumber prices are out there, thanks a ton!

Since you have admitted in a public forum to having committed a crime (stealing wood), I will have to seize it as evidence pending final outcome of the legal process. If you have it delivered to my evidence storage facility (aka garage) in the immediate future, I will try to intercede in your behalf with the appropriate authorities. :P

Best offer I’ve had today.

For the record Ron, I only live less than 3 hours away. Far closer than the Texas offer and I'm fluent in Hoosier.

Man.... Down here I haven't paid $5 and change for walnut since about 2012!  I was kicking myself back then for not scraping up enough to buy a full unit of 8/4 FAS.

Nice haul!

Get us all donuts and we won't snitch.

PS. I don't know if they do where you live, or if you like to select yourself, but they will deliver to me.  Not sure what the minimum order is, but they'll put it on the truck with other orders and usually get to me within a week.

Ron, did you get bargain price because of lengths less than 8 ft.?  Danl

Keith,

Any order over $750 is a free delivery but I wanted this on this year’s taxes so I opted to drive the 50 minutes and go get it.
