Demo and cleanup are the worse parts. Now the fun work begins.

Now into laminating and edge banding up all the components. It was supposed to be a day or two of glue up and then start making cabinets. Then disaster struck. The bathroom gods decided to make my life interesting. I am forced to gut and remodel a small bathroom due to crummy workmanship. The tile literally started falling off the wall. So now I have two projects going ☹️ I will start a thread under home improvement for the bathroom. Not a lot of woodworking. Mostly tile work and plumbing.

It’s been a busy week and the shop is thrashed. Several days of cutting, ripping and glue up. Have one more day of it and then all the panels can be run through the sander and start the assembly process and make the 10 lazy Susan’s. I’m waiting for fixtures on the bathroom project at this point.

Good thing you're "retired" Paul.;)

is that green board behind the tiles?  sigh.  how about some concrete board kids?  and then a coat or two of the red stuff, and then the tiles?!

Yes it is. It is unfortunate how some people will basically do schlock work and get away with it. Oh well. Now it will be done properly.

A few busy days putting panels through the sander and today starting to get everything cut to size. We should be assembling in a day or two.

The first carcass is mortised, routered and ready for final sanding and assembly. Getting there slow but sure.

Those templates date back to the 80’s and the cabinet shop.  Now they have CNC machines that do it all.

I’m back on the linen closet while we are in a holding pattern on the bathroom. I unfortunately didn’t notice a couple of major defects in one of the vertical panels. I meant to make it an outside side of a panel so it would not have mattered. I decided to try and use the Shaper Origin to eliminate both of them rather than make a new panel. You can judge the results for yourselves.
