June 14, 20242 yr Friday again. Have to try to enjoy the next couple of days here "Two Weeks From Anywhere" it's about to get HOT/HUMID here Sunday through Thursday with temps in the low to mid 90's. I'm not sure what I'll get done because they're also predicting "Air Quality Alerts" for those same days. Guess it will be early mornings/late afternoons trying to get anything done. What's on Your Weekend Agenda?
June 14, 20242 yr Popular Post Bought an inexpensive laptop to replace an old, slow Win 10 machine to control the laser. Apparently Microsoft has gotten even more greedy. These new, cheaper machines come with an "S" mode that won't allow a user to install applications not from the MS store. After many frustrating hours attempting various work arounds, I finally broke down and bought an upgraded machine. The dealer was kind enough to allow a return and full refund on other one. So, today I'll be fiddling with this newer 'puter. Hopefully, I'll get it to work.
June 14, 20242 yr Popular Post Heading to Williamsport, PA for the dedication of the A-6 Intruder placed at the Veteran's Park. The aircraft has been restored and on permanent display. This particular plane was delivered, new, to my old squadron and was part of several squadrons during her active service. She was eventually released to the Williamsport Community College- what's now Pennsylvania College of Technology- for their Aviation Programs. Now she sets proudly as a reminder of one of the most advanced aviation attack platforms of that era.
June 14, 20242 yr Popular Post Been a heck of a week. From a low temperature of 39° Tuesday to a high of 89° yesterday. Small front mount mower either bent and exhaust valve or broke a valve guide. Got the big FM mower going again and may accidently stumbled upon the run/die issue that plagued me last year. Anyway it passed the 4P4-90 test yesterday. Recovering today from being out in sun/heat the last 3 days. 10U baseball season wrapped up last night with a "W." Gotta say, my grandson pitched some of his best innings this year in relief and getting the win. 8 strike outs, 3 walks in 2-2/3 innings pitched. Offense wasn't bad either; one hit, one rbi, 2 on bases from walks, 2 steals and 2 runs scored. Sadly he didn't get to slide at any time. His mother was thankful from a laundry perspective. I'll figure something to do this afternoon and evening. Monthly men's breakfast tomorrow AM, then may finish placement, fill and readiness of last two raised garden beds. Sunday, church, then hoping I get the afternoon off beings it a recognized national holiday. Happy Father's Day to all here. Enjoy the day and hopefully a gift of a dozen, circular, hole less centered delicacies.

June 15, 20242 yr Well the wife decided she was determined to use (meaning me) a different picture for the Father’s Day gift. I didn’t like it so at 8pm last she do something. So trying a new way to render the picture. Did the carve last night. Sealed and painted. When I sand it this morning I will find out if it work. I also need to carve a sign and mill some hard maple for an end grain cutting board.

I thought I was getting a great deal. Home Depot has the same stuff for $90.00. In my area, ACE Hardware has the best prices for gt cans. They only sell qt and 5 gal cans. Danl
