Project for May might get started in July if I'm lucky. 

 

 

What's on Your Weekend Agenda? 

 

 

 

Going to the Indy 500.  With the weather forecast as it is I may be going twice.  Once Sunday and once Monday.

Glass shop turned around my mirror order in very prompt fashion so I plan to finish up this last project today.  That leaves my weekend to get back in the yard and continue with various prunings and such.  And go visit my sister I think is on the agenda also, likely Sunday PM.

My saws have fallen silent, haven't turned the a/c on yet... Georgia Power may send the local  cops out to do a wellness check on us to see if we're still alive!

 

They need not fret, if it is as hot & humid today as it was yesterday I can see the upstairs a/c being turned on later this morning

Busy weekend -- the last build day for the theater set Saturday, then in the evening, load the truck and move to the theater (school), probably two loads.  Sunday re-assemble the whole set (photos to come) on site.  Monday school is closed, Tuesday - Weds rehearsals and final set maintenance.  Thursday dress rehearsal, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday four  performances, then disassemble everything and move back to the shop.

 

Oh, and Saturday is my 50th wedding anniversary.  Celebration will have to wait.

We are celebrating and attending our grandsons graduation. So some activities every day and a late flight home Sunday. With what this is costing it is a good thing we only have one.

Yesterday evening,  we watched our grandson (along with 256 others) graduate from one of the most prestigious and  academically rigorous academic institutions, University High school, in the western US. Maybe in the whole country. They only accept student applicants who pass their tough entrance exams and have a high GPA. 

He has already been recruited by several universities both here in AZ and, CA as well as some eastern universities. He has chosen to stay at home and attend the U of A.

We are very proud of him.

Busy week between weed eating, mowing, brush removal and 4 baseball games. Both grandsons went 2-0 for the week. Oldest ones season is over.

 

Waiting at eye doctor now. They're running way behind as their network is down. Wally world grocery order to PU after. Granddaughters Blazer needs oil/filter/service sometime this weekend.

 

Church Sunday; graduation open house Sunday evening.

 

Nothing else fun planned.

 

Whatever you all are doing this Memorial Day Weekend, be safe and take time to give thanks for all the men and women who gave all for us.

Wear a brighter colored shirt this year. I think I missed it when you waved at me last year  I could have been in the bathroom too or wife switched the TV to Gunsmoke when I dozed off.

I plan on doing some yard work today in short spurts, the weeds are about to overtake the whole property. Sunday is supposed to be a rain day so I might get some off/on shop time while still tending my caregiver shores with Marie. Nothing at all planned for Monday, I usually try to smoke a pork butt for Memorial Day but I'm thinking that will be rained out.

Had to get up early today. Grandson has graduation at 10 and me and Grammy waiting on B&B porch for son to pick us up and he is late.  Looks like rain here.

Second plantation shutter rough fitted. Still a LOT to do on this project but I can see daylight (no pun intended)

Belated Happy 50th Anniversary Keith. Time sure goes fast doesn't it. Down the home stretch for our 51st.
