Friday May 10th, 2024-What's on Your Weekend Agenda?

Featured Replies

:ChinScratch: Friday again.

Still playing the "Wash, Rinse, Dry, Repeat" thing here with today supposedly being one of the "Dry" days through the daylight hours.

Looks pretty soggy out there though after yesterday's round of on/off rain. :Tapping:

Probably won't get any time to play in the "Outdoor Shop". <_<

What's on Your Weekend Agenda?

With Mother's day being this Sunday I'm guessing I'll be doing a little house cleaning tomorrow to make it a little less embarrassing for Marie when the multitudes show up. Today is our dry day (I think Sunday may be as well) so I'll have some things to tend to outside; may even get a few minutes puttering in the shop.

We got rain!

Nearly two inches yesterday, followed by overnight thunderstorms that it looks from here like gave us another .5-.75".  Still too dark to get a good look at the gauge.

I'll spend the afternoon loading up a few tools and materials to finish up our daughter's pantry.  And, if it drys off enough, go for a good walk.

Saturday AM head up to Atlanta to spend the weekend with daughter & beau.  My bike is still in the shop so I won't be biking this weekend.

Had a bad storm roll thru last night with about an inch of rain. Power went out for a few minutes , luckier than a lot of other folks. Hate that we got more rain as we are going to cut that oak up today or should I say we are starting and it is on the low end of the land. Good thing is it is 73 right now so maybe we won't get heat stroke.

church sunday.

that's it.

they are going to give my table a trial run sunday for use in serving communion, and then i'll get feedback on if it is the correct size.  if so, 3 more to make, if not, 4 to make of a different size.

i guess happy mother's day to all the moms out there.  my mom passed away in 2020.

One of our sons and DIL took mom out for an early Mother's day celebratory meal. I went along. Went to a Cajun place. Great battered catfish. Glad they battered it. Hate it when rhe fish flop around on the plate.;) Son got a hamburger. He's usually more adventurous but said it was very good. DIL had a shrimp Po' boy. Phyl and I both loved our catfish with some of their deliciously sweetened hush puppies.  Great meal. Reminicant of our trips to NOLA.  Laissez le bon temps rouler. We'll go back for sure.
