I have the room but I only engineered the pad for up to a 4 post lift + car  :)

 

I have an Oliver that's half that long - 10' and a bit over 8' between centers.  It's also 3 phase meaning it's just in my way at the moment (and has been since 2006 when we put it in what was then our garage, now it's my shop).

My 12" planer is an Oliver. I don't use it a lot, but it works well for me. Helical cutter heads for around $900 if I recall.

That's $46,000 in today's money. The 1942 Sears house (the last year they made them) was $659.
