February 23, 20242 yr Popular Post comment_330450 Have my last scheduled PT session in just a bit this morning. Then it's off to the (big) city to install shelving that is mostly cut to size and finished. Back Saturday evening. Start the next round of projects in the Sunday-Monday timeframe... Well that was a good plan... before I got the last sentence typed in our son called to say he might visit in mid-March during spring break from his studies... can we build a special dog feeding chair that week? Don't know, never seen one... pics to come At least that doesn't change the plans for the immediate future. Report
February 23, 20242 yr Popular Post comment_330451 If my shop furnace gets fixed today (still waiting for parts) I have a backup of things to do. If it's not fixed I'll just suffer in silence in front of the TV. This just in: about an hour after I typed the above the furnace guy called. He's been out and installed the new board and I have heat again in the shop. Edited February 23, 20242 yr by Fred W. Hargis Jr Report

February 23, 20242 yr Popular Post comment_330465 Still have some auction items to unload, sort, peruse. A couple night stands go to my daughters for grandsons Domestic duties today, along with some phone business. Tomorrow, birthday party at the church for our former church secretary. She'll be 90 but you would never guess she's not 70. Amazing, sweet lady. Church responsibilities Sunday. Report
February 23, 20242 yr Popular Post comment_330466 About to go for PT and maybe take my driver (SWMBO) to lunch. Got a couple small things done in shop yesterday. One was a extended tool tray on end of the lathe to reduce some clutter. Hope to do some turning today and tomorrow. Back to church for the first time in 3 weeks Sunday. My son got a couple of nice glass cases from a remodel at Academy Sports and they are still in my truck so maybe next week. Report

February 24, 20242 yr Popular Post comment_330559 Cameron is coming over for more lathe time. he's now at the point where he's doing everything on his own although he still needs to improve on sanding skills a bit. I'll be getting the ringmaster lathe out to make a few bowls. I need 3 done in time to get photos for show applications due on March 1st. After that there is a few more cutting boards to glue up and 310 cheese slicers to finish processing. this should keep me busy enough to stay out of my wife's hair while she does our taxes. Report

Soon you can put him on the "payroll." Glad all is going well. 310 is a lot of cheese slicers but hey, since you're in Wisconsin, guess it stands to reason. Good luck on the taxes and oh yeah, staying out of the Mrs. hair. Report
February 24, 20242 yr Popular Post comment_330575 I made 5 cheese slicers a couple of years back for me and some family members. That wasn't bad...but 310 would be. That would keep me out of Marie's hair the rest of the year! Report
