Friday December 29th, 2023-Whats on Your Weekend Agenda?

Friday again folks! :D

Have to go and finish a well tank replacement later today for a neighbor about 1/4 mile down the road.

Ran and hopefully got everything needed last evening, then proceeded to remove the old tank from its built in place cabinet.

Need to take the torch set over today so I can get the cut off pipe out of a tee. Need a bit more heat than the Bernzomatic propane torch can deliver.

That's my plan for today, haven't thought about the weekend.

:ChinScratch: What's on Your Weekend Agenda?

Going to be pretty cold today & tomorrow so my first order of business is to stay in out of it :D

Planning a workbench and two base cabinet builds.  Work on the material needs to compare with what I might have on hand.

Couple of ball games, OSU tonight and UGA tomorrow evening.

May just hang close and start some end of year paper shuffling.

A failing memory coupled with an Attention Deficit Disorder makes for fuzzy agendas. On the bench there's a bandsaw box nearing completion. On the fungible agenda are some 1/2" BB boxes for shop storage, to assist in the never ending organization battle. If I'm lucky, the bandsaw box will be done today and the boxes can start in the morning.

I hope to get back to a couple of tissue boxes this weekend that I started last summer.

Don't know what but I need to get off my dead butt and do something.  Been goofing off since Christmas.

Very quiet house today. Granddaughter returned to campus for swim team yesterday. Mrs is at daughters with grandsons. A few tasks today. Supposed to be some football games this weekend. Church responsibilities Sunday. Shop remains closed due to malfunctioning thermometer. So many projects...so little motivation...

A "Finial" I guess it is called....Panel #6 is in the clamps, for the day...:Tapping:

Have to dig through my SElection ( NOT COllection!) of Braces, to power a 3" diameter Clark Expansive bit...as the bit won't work with a 3 jaw chuck...like on my Post Drill Press...8" sweep?  10" Sweep...thinking a 12" MIGHT be a bit too much..:WonderScratch:

Stay tuned...just getting things "prepped" right now..:cowboy:

BTW:  The Boss has a Birthday on the 31st.....no, I am NOT saying how old she will be, as I want to live to see MY 71st next May...

Expecting some jute bags to arrive.  Plan is to use them for groceries in an effort to resist the plastic bags that I'm sure must be filling up the local landfill.

CNC is working now on a flashlight prop base. When I was under my truck installing the brackets for the side steps I kept knocking over my flashlight which which I'd stood on precariously to light up the area.  Rather than shop for and spend money on a work light made for such a job I figure a scrap of wood and a cheap flashlight I already own could serve that purpose.

Finished well tank and pressure switch replacement last evening. Also added a sediment trap and check valve to the system.

Reason I added the check valve was precautionary measure in case the foot valve in the submersible pump should ever fail.

I got five extra years out of our old pump by adding a check valve when the one in the pump failed. ;)
