December 6, 20232 yr Popular Post Even though this is a Xmas present I decided to move it over here as it is a turning. This is a couple of large Wenge blanks I glued together along with a maple lip. I managed to get it roughed out today. It will need some more hollowing but the shape is now there. Paul
December 7, 20232 yr Author Popular Post All done with first coat of finish on. I think Wenge is going to take a lot of coats to smooth out. It’s very porous. Paul
December 7, 20232 yr Great look and the contrast pops it. I would not try to fill the pores arse it would take a very long time and it does add character.
