Grandpadave52 Posted November 11, 2023 Report Posted November 11, 2023 Thanks Lew. Not clearly stated when they mention the "cutting tool" ?? I surmise the issue is with inferior quality of the faceplate and tool rest materials since the cutting tool is variable? CPSC Notice is what Family Handyman and other news outlets have copied. Grizzly site only has this: https://www.grizzly.com/recalls lew 1 Quote

Grizzly site only has this: https://www.grizzly.com/recalls Same here, seems a little ambiguous. But from the Canadian recall this is a little more clear- Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled wood lathes and contact Grizzly Industrial for details on how to receive a free repair kit, including shipping. The repair kit consists of an upgraded faceplate, tool rest and tool rest base. Edited November 11, 2023 by lew Grandpadave52 1 Quote
Gerald Posted November 12, 2023 Report Posted November 12, 2023 Yes you would think the CPSC could at least name the parts. Grandpadave52 1 Quote
