Grizzly Lathe Recall November 2023

Featured Replies

Thanks Lew. Not clearly stated when they mention the "cutting tool" ?? I surmise the issue is with inferior quality of the faceplate and tool rest materials since the cutting tool is variable?

CPSC Notice is what Family Handyman and other news outlets have copied.

Same here, seems a little ambiguous. But from the Canadian recall this is a little more clear-

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled wood lathes and contact Grizzly Industrial for details on how to receive a free repair kit, including shipping. The repair kit consists of an upgraded faceplate, tool rest and tool rest base.

Yes you would think the CPSC could at least name the parts.
