Turned this last evening, sanded down to 400 grit and finished with briwax. :)

That is a nice form inside. You might try turning the outside to reflect the inside leaving the top square. Will be a good test of skills.

You mean turn the outside like the inside bowl leaving a small "ledge" on the top to be square?  Do I understand what you mean?  That would be interesting, I have another blank I will try that with.  Thanks!:)

Finished these today.

Ash bowl finished with Danish Oil.

Bowl finished with Tung Oil.

Yes that is like a bowl with a square rim at the top.

As a visual I'm pretty sure @Gerald means similar to this.
