I think I know how this works to "catch brass" but mine seems to go all over the place. How much of yours goes into the box?

How much of yours goes into the box? they are not for catching spent brass. they are for either staging a pistol or rifle or shotgun at a desired location, or giving you a place to "dump" off your gun you just used as you transition to a different gun. they are lined with carpeting to be nice to nice guns, and they are angled down about 45 degrees, so that if they do contain a loaded gun, the muzzle is pointed at the ground, and not at people potentially further down range of the dump box. sized to fit common rifles and shotguns, the small compartment is sufficiently large enough to hold any common pistol. since most shooters are right handed, it is sized so that a right handed shooter would place the pistol down with the muzzle pointed at the ground, and the grip pointed to the right as viewed from the rear of the box. commonly used in 2 and 3 gun matches.
