Guess everyone is sleeping late today and I feel like I should have. Trying to get some of the wood laying around the shop on the lathe plus start prep for club demo Saturday.

Actually, I did!

We received some beneficial rain yesterday. Grass and garden already look a little better. Hoping to get to the trim coil on the garden shed. Have to make arrangements to use a bending brake.. There has been a bowl blank on the lathe for weeks. It just stares at me with disgust each time I walk by.

Yep, guilty as charged.; Caught me..napping after morning chores and breakfast.

Resolved and fixed granddaughters car horn plus fluid, tire checks and finally installed new grill and trim inserts. Old one was damaged when removing a couple summers ago when removed to replace radiator, A/C compressor, fan and electric fan clutch. Plastic becomes brittle when. 20 years old.

A few honey-do jobs, a little shop time refurbing some tools, and a little cleaning and reorganizing. Yesterday, after church took the grandkids (3/4) out for lunch and ice-cream, then played a few games on "new" air hockey table while SIL was painting hallway walls. Later finished some small projects at home.

Now that today's fog moisture has mostly dried, time to begin mowing. Mid-week hair-cut expedition. Other endeavors will be determined by weather...whether or not I'm motivated.

:WhoMe: Watched the sun come up while having second cup of coffee. :DayDreaming:

:ChinScratch: It's that last word I'm having problems with. <_<

Went out after coffee, finished cutting up a seasoned in place Hop Hornbeam tree.

Hauled some of the bigger pieces over to the log splitter.

Split then hauled over to a rack and stacked it on the rack.

Currently waiting for another pot of coffee to get done. :Tapping:

The weather is unusually nice for this time in July in my area, so I'm spending more time in the yard doing dome things I've put off for years...actually I'm kinda running out of excuses to not do them. That, and it's nice to be outside in this weather.

:ChinScratch: Seems like that second pot of coffee isn't doing much for the motivation process. Think I'll take a nap. :GoodNight:

got back late last night from our biggest art show of the year. So this week we're working on replacing many of the items sold over the weekend. Fortunately, our WIP pile has been steadily growing this year which allows us to jump in the shop and sand up a bunch of things in a few days saving the time of having to prep and laminate in a short amount of time. This will be the first time doing back-to-back larger shows with any level of comfort inventory wise.

A lot of visiting done over the weekend with both son & daughter here.  Son is staying for the week - but doing remote work.  I keep busy with some smaller jobs that can be stopped when he takes a break and we can chat for a few.  I did get the lawn mowed yesterday in between sprinkles.

Things on tap for the week - visiting, some electrical in the shop, continue with drawer fitment and faces, may cook out this evening over an open fire (son's specialty), cut & install a few vinyl decals; and more visiting :)

Got on the scroll saw yesterday and finished cutting a little figure out. Have had it partially cut for months. Not picture worthy. Today's job is finishing a 3/4" oak Nativity scene puzzle. It's 9.5×12. Probably use Watco under Helmsman Man O War. To finish it.  I've collected dozens of scrolling patterns and ideas. This scrolling stuff is addictive.  Hope the Shopsmiths won't feel neglected.

Got approximately 68.779% of the mowing done yesterday plus a couple honey-dos. Hope finish mowing today and maybe a couple more tasks. Thunderstorms in the daily forecast starting late today and for the next 7.

Get ready for the monsoon...finished the mowing including the roadsides and fence rows today. Only 2nd time this year I've finished all of it in two afternoons. Last time we got nearly an inch of rain the next day. I'm feeling it tonight too. Thank goodness for roll-on Lidocaine.
