March 24, 20233 yr Popular Post Just getting started on the late fall craft show inventory. Found some interesting designs online and decided to try them out. Will get to making better versions of these when I can utilize specifically cut wood selections rather than just what's in the 'remains' piles. The usual culprits - walnut, maple, mesquite, alder and white oak. The white oak was recovered from a JD barrel planter that was retired and replaced. 'Bout time I actually posted something rather than just click on an emoji or make a smart - @&% remark!
March 25, 20233 yr Great looking remains. I love that rim treatment , as many RM as I have seen that is a first for me.

I got tired of the simple straight sides and cutting off a usable portion of the blank for the first ring so I tried something new. After cutting/drilling the blank I square up the edge on the RM and then run a small trim router around each side. I use either a 45* chamfer or 1/4" roundover bit. Gives them a pretty nice look. You know me. Just gotta do something different!
March 25, 20233 yr Love them all. Hard to choose a favorite among the offerings, but if forced to, it would be second from left, back row in first picture which I think it big pictures 3 & 4. Regardless, they all are amazingly unique.

March 25, 20233 yr Part of the "go organic" movement. Plant your own gun barrels. Seeds available for most gauges.
