Voted this morning so campaign ads are required to end

Since the polling place got moved, I no longer have to pick 50 pounds of ads and wire stands out of the median.

Ok I'll bite, how the heck did you do that! You know what, I'm used to these similar reports from you Larry, I don't even ask if you are ok anymore, I assume since you are here typing, then you at least have one finger left!

Larry, I do truly hope you are ok, if I took this a little too lighthearted I completely apologize, hopefully it was just a graze, if you are laid up please let us know how things are. Feeling a little guilty here.

:ChinScratch:Well now let's see, trying to get Bruces cordless sawzall into a spot behind the front edge of the door while cutting off the rocker panel on the passengers side I stupidly slid my hand by the nose of the sawzall blade guide and the return stroke pinched my right index finger between it and the blade guide ripping just between the nail, and first knuckle open clear to the bone. The angle grinder is just plain vicious, it even got Bruce yesterday. Still have all eight fingers, and both thumbs but I'm still a one fingered keyboardest. :P

:throbbinghead:

 Retired UAW Journeyman Pipefitter.

:D I trained at the plant that one of the trade magazines once refered to as "The Cavemen of the Auto Industry".

:ChinScratch: What do you mean it won't fit, get a bigger hammer<_<

 No need to apologize, or feel guilty John.

Could probably have used a couple stitches where the sawzall bit. :WhoMe:That's what Band-Aids are for. ;)

 When/where the angle-grinder bites, is just plain gone.

Trip to BMV done. Arrived mid-afternoon. To my surprise, not a patron in sight but me. Regardless, still had to check-in by getting my computer generated number.

The 8 people working allowed me to walk through the Covid spaced seats, choose one, get fully seated, then all of them glare at me before calling out my number.

I jumped up, well not really cause I can't anymore, but pulled myself up, then looking around stated, "did someone just call #136?" (I was still only patron there); then stated "I'm #136, do I win?" Tough audience, NO ONE, but me found it funny.

Anyways, I actually had everything I needed, well except for one minor thing...my billfold, which I had left in the car so couldn't produce my identity aka drivers license. Too my surprise, instead of making me go get it, I provided last 4 digits of SS#, name, verified my address then was good to go. She did interrogate me on just how I intended to pay since my wallet was not on my person. I smiled as I pulled the checkbook from my shirt pocket then said, "by check if that is acceptable?"

Anyways, paperwork completed for 2 vehicles, in and out of there in about 15 minutes. Record time. Almost got a smile too. Lots of people waiting their turn when I left. No smiles on any of their faces though.

He’s a plumber. “It’s just a little blood” is our motto.

Now, dropping a grinder with a still wire wheel, power on and locked at 10,000RPM, that’ll climb your leg in a flash. Serious hurt.

I learned plumbing in the school of hard knocks. Cutting thru concrete with a hammer and chisel. Missing the chisel all day long. Ouch!

Industrial Pipefitter, plumbing was only part of the job. We played with the big stuff so got to bleed a bit more. ;)

 Didn't know you worked at K.E.P.. :ChinScratch:

Patch panels are all welded in on the 02 Blazer. Both sides required replacing lower quarter panels, rocker sills, and lower front fenders.  Needed to make patch panels for the lower front fenders. Still need to grind welds, and do the "Bondo" work. Should last a few more years now. Bruce painted the repairs on the 05 Express yesterday. Will get photos today.
