October 11, 20223 yr Author Popular Post Too 2 hours of moving scrap . I'll make these the way we did in the 90's. I bad sone maple and will try and use poplar scraps for the adjustable.
October 12, 20223 yr Author Popular Post A little slow down. I have a Delta 12" turret RAS.. Cuts angles perfectly, but because I have been out of the shop so long I believe the table has moved. And is no longer flat to the blade. This isn't a problem just cutting boards, but making dados it becomes an issue. I know I'm cheap, but I'm feeling perdy old these days crawling around under tools, etc... Maybe...
October 14, 20223 yr Author Popular Post I took the faceframe and cut them to useable parts. I cut, planed and sized the verticals for dados. I would much rather dado one board , but this is a recycle job, so I'll tape and dado at one tine.
October 16, 20223 yr Adjustable glides. That’s pretty darned clever. And, that's one sweet cabinet, too.
October 17, 20223 yr Author I spent a little time prepping some of the maple for rollouts/drawers. Before I planed my sides and back down I wanted to check my screw inventory. I made the sides and back around 9/16.
October 18, 20223 yr Author Popular Post I took a look at the RAS. It will take a 3/4 stack , but the nut hardly goes on. I decided I'd just do 5/8 and feel comfortable. Edited October 18, 20223 yr by BillyJack
October 18, 20223 yr Author Popular Post With the dados cut, I planed the runners to fit. As you ca.n see hoe they will mount.
November 8, 20223 yr Author Nothing much going on today. I finally did get the Freud dados installed with shims for the 1/2 maple melamine. I don't like to do dados anymore so I made a jig. It’s easier to run dados for cabinets with a router in the table.using the tablesaw fence. Don't let anyone tell you running dados is easy.its more complicated than that. Try doing dong dados for several hours, better be on your game. Edited November 8, 20223 yr by BillyJack
