October 7, 20223 yr Cabinets are from 1999. I have fought these shelves long enough. I have moved spices long enough. Time for rollout and a spice rack I found two hinges in my old cabibet hardware and I've got a box of 10-21" full extension drawed slides. The hinges are plunged but the screw one will work just fine. Needs 5 hinges fir spice rack.. To be continued..
October 7, 20223 yr Author I gotta look in the rack and see what I got for bottoms. I may make these adjustable, but just a lil more work..
October 8, 20223 yr Looks a lot like one of our kitchen cabinets, could never find anything in the back. I took out the shelves, built out the sides behind the frame and in the back with furring strips. Added full extension drawer slides. Made new shelves that had short vertical sides, fronts and backs. Now the shelves pull out for easy access all the way to the back
October 8, 20223 yr Author Popular Post I've done so many of these for customers it aint funny. Awhile back she went thru the pantry. Too many things got dated and we're thrown out. I've been on my hands and knees too many times looking for that package of taco seasoning.. She knows she bought some, but I still have to make a special trip to the store to buy another pack... The spice cabinet hp gets shuffled around to were you can't find anything either. Tired of spices falling out or repeat purchases because you can't find it.. I'm done. She said she was tired of having a fireplace. Time to get on that project as well. Why I bought the Router Crafter... Edited October 8, 20223 yr by BillyJack
October 8, 20223 yr I took spices off the turntable in cabinet and used a drawer. Put in some sloped dividers and now can see all spices at one glance. Oh yeh she thru out the oversize bottle and bought smaller ones (UGH).

October 8, 20223 yr Author I've got 23 1/4 inside the cabinet and 24" with the depth of the frame. Somewhere around 23 1/2- 23 3/4 max drawer slides are 20". Having a 1/4 back leaves me 3" to play with. . ZIP LOCK bag boxes are 3"..

October 9, 20223 yr Popular Post I’ve always liked the vertical pullouts for spice racks. Made a few for customers over the years. I’m not sure what she has in store for this kitchen. When it happens it will be a major demo, moving walls etc. I’m going to have to time that one to the season as we will be cooking outside for a couple of months. Paul

October 10, 20223 yr Author Popular Post About me…. I’m cheap. I will use leftover materials from jobs to create things for myself. I’ll see what I have and create with what’s at hand. When I did side jobs for customers and used the left over materials for my bar, only buying the tile. There is no such thing as waste with a artistic woodworker.
October 10, 20223 yr Popular Post Can't call me artistic, just a Phrugal Old Phart with boxes, barrels and, buckets of cut offs.
October 10, 20223 yr Author Popular Post I took a look at what I had lef6 from my cabinet days. I have a case of 20" drawer slides , no plastic spacer blocks, but the 5m screws.. I have plenty of poplar and mucho maple cutoffs I save for dovetail drawers.i found a cover sheet of 1/2 maple vinyl PB and a 2/3 sheet of white melamine PB. Did I mention I'm cheap?
