August 3, 20223 yr Got this stand from a turner estate. Today go started on repurposing it to a tool stand and drawer unit. The top on it is hinged and was going to use that as a slanted tool each but changed that to flat surface to hold project parts and upright tool stand for tools in use. Got to order the drawer slides and build drawers. I really think this was a stool before the hinged top was added.
August 3, 20223 yr Definitely a sturdy base, the wheels are a plus too. I like the Idea on the shelf too. Added one to mine awhile back and had to lengthen the feet. Edited August 3, 20223 yr by HandyDan
August 3, 20223 yr Gerald, a cream Seperator that folks had if they had cows looks like that base might have been from one of them. Grandpaw had one that looked real close to that base. It had already rusted bad when we got it from them and finally it fell to pieces.. I still have a very heavy cast iron base that was from that time slot and am putting it under a large mesquite blob that I dug out of the ground.
