Seems I remember someone posting on here how to do it?? Its been on my back burner for years, I'm wanting to do it, Finally! What glue to use? Was thinking maple and black walnut for color contrast, I think the walnut is a no go for food contact? Advice? Links?

I have used walnut, cherry and maple for these (even sapele). I don't think walnut is a problem, even for folks with allergies. I use TiteBondII. 

 

Any questions, I'll be glad to answer. Some of the jigs in the blog have been updated or eliminated in favor of better options.

walnut sawdust will kill plants, but is perfectly safe for rolling pins, cutting boards, bowls.....

 

i use TB3, it's waterproof.
