 This is my youngest offspring and she has decided that the time has come to be posting her own projects on here.  This is the young lady that just got the Delta lathe I posted about last month. Now she can read and learn from you all.   

I like it.  Could make a nice tree ornament

I really like this. I agree with Dan, it would make a great ornament.

You just turn something that looks like a triangle on your lathe and cut it off. Then you've got a schnootie! After that, you can glue or use epoxy to attach the back of the schnootie to the flat part of the pine cone. Then you got glue the eyes and legs(cut dowels) on and boom! Pine cone hedge hog! I hope that's helpful, if you have any more questions then dont hesitate to ask!

First off...Thanks to all for giving her such a warm welcome and encouraging words.  This being the youngest of my kids and she is growing up fast, so I am doing what I can to enjoy our shop time together, and trust me, she has entirely taken "ownership" of her space.  We are having a good time!!!

How do I get this smile off my face? That Hedge Hog = ALL SMILES! 

I saw my dad had the idea on his phone then later found it again when looking for good beginner projects and I loved it! Just had to make it!
