December 31, 20214 yr Popular Post If you build a lot of cabinet type projects, this is a neat jig that can quickly check for square. If you are like me, the clamps always seem to be in the way of using the tape measure for checking the carcass
December 31, 20214 yr Popular Post Thanks Lew. I've cobbled up overlapping sticks before but never thought about using t-track for the main body. This idea is now on my jig To Do list.
December 31, 20214 yr Popular Post Here's another one Lew. The secret to this one is the point on the swinging leg meets the end of the other 2. That's fairly easy to do, after you bolt it together, you swing it to one end and get the 2 ends to perfectly match....then swing the moving part to the other end, and work it down to match. Then in use you lay it in as shown in the first photo. All 3 points have to touch the cabinet for it to be square. If they all don't touch, the one that's not touching is pointing to the long diagonal. I have 2 this large one and a smaller one just for use when the clamps are in the way, The secomnd photo is justr a clear shot of what it looks like. Edited December 31, 20214 yr by Fred W. Hargis Jr
December 31, 20214 yr Thanks @Fred W. Hargis Jr. I recall seeing some time back a YouTube video for the one you show. Don't recall who put it out...seems like one of the WWing magazines though. It made sense at the time.
