October 6, 20214 yr comment_272352 All for naught!!!! After sanding to MY liking (sp) disaster!!!!! Went to open up the bottom recess in order to fit the branding iron & POP. Off the lathe & into a cart. Even after I checked for a good fit. Still can't find one piece. Oh well!!! Report

October 6, 20214 yr Author comment_272355 This. Had the longer pegs mounted inside the bowl. The bummer is I did enlarge the mortise but didn't like the bottom of the mortise. So I remounted the bowl and checked to make sure it was mounted flush. Obviously not well enough. Bummer. Report

October 6, 20214 yr Popular Post comment_272362 When I reverse a bowl and use the Cole jaws, I do what @Gerald recommended AND add this to the setup The nylon filament/strapping tape will hold it secure even if I pull the tail stock back for embellishing the bottom center Report

October 6, 20214 yr Popular Post comment_272371 Sucks to be you but I've been there a few times myself and I feel your pain. I just posted about a bowl reversal and used the stretch wrap to keep it secure. Never lost one when using the stretch wrap. Report
