Friday September 24th 2021-What's on Your Weekend Agenda?

Friday already?

Wow that was a fast week.

Here "Two Weeks From Anywhere" I'm still working on getting caught up to the yard, and auto work.

The way the weather is going I'd better get the snow blower ready. Had to wear a flannel shirt and sweatshirt while mowing yesterday.

Still have trees that came down in earlier storms to get cut up, and ready for the wood burning stove. Guess that will be my woodworking for awhile.

:ChinScratch: So, What's on your weekend agenda?

Getting some work done to the truck today, and may do a little myself on it tomorrow. Also thinking that with the rain we just got this past week, I might be able to core aerate the lawn this weekend. The wrinkle in this is it may rain a little tomorrow morning.

Between family duties we were able to installed the backsplash tile on the south & west walls, 18" x 27', this week. Doing the stove wall today and that should complete our tile work. We will let it set over the weekend and start grouting next week. Tile guy has found yet another excuse not to show up this week and Patti has found another excuse not to tell him he is no longer needed. I think she has been around me too long.

I had forgotten I had agreed to help a friend work on a truck camper this weekend.  He has gutted the camper to redo it and requested my help a couple months back.  So, he is supposed to roll in tomorrow AM first thing to see what we can accomplish over the weekend.

Been raining so the yard needs mowed.  Should see some shop time after that.

Went to Mother's yesterday. Installed her new garden hose hanger. Trailer rim I painted and made a mount for.

Finished up with a major phase of datacenter upgrades this morning.  Feels like a major weight has been lifted.

Looking forward to spending some time in the workshop this weekend.  I'm planning to process some logs into blanks and work on the cocobolo bowl.

Was shaping some rolling pins until a friend called. Switched ISP's to a package deal including phone service. now to get the inside wiring to play nice with cable connection. Should be a simple matter but it is fighting hard.

Not sure who decided to use Cat5 cable for the phone service and then wasn't consistent with the colors/terminals.

Theater set construction all day Saturday.   I think my task will be to finish the rest of the stair risers and get the treads on.

Spent the morning at the range. Got a chance to fire a friend's M1. My first time with one . I qualified with M14 but just not the same a M1. Still working on the Mosin Nagant . Got a pattern about 2 inch at 100 yard now if I can get that centered. Nothing else today just a little upset tummy.

Tomorrow hope for some shop time for turning.

Wife has just about quit eating anything.  So, I'm not much of a cook and I suppose that after 20 years eating my cooking, she is tired of it.  But wait, it gets better.  Every Friday afternoon, I pick up the grandchildren from school.  So, today, I thought I would try a different route and to ensure that I had sufficient time, I left the house a little early.  Well, that was completely cancelled when I turned a corner at a local grocery store.  I did not have to turn the steering wheel enough to cancel the turn signal.  A man in a 2011 Chevy Silverado was trying to pull out of the store parking lot.  My turn signal was still blinking and I was trying to get it off.  He assumed that I was coming into the store parking lot even though I was not in the turn out lane to enter the parking lot.  So, he decided to pull right in front of me.  I stood on my brake pedal and turned the van toward the parking lot.  We had sheet metal kissing. He got a dent in the bed of his truck, my driver side of the front bumper and headlights are seriously messed up.  We had the state trooper to come and make a report.  She explained that we were both at fault.  So, I filed a claim with Hartford Insurance.  This is the first accident that I have had since 1973.  Not hurt, no bumps or bruises.  This is the first damage to this 2007 Toyota Sienna so I am shaken and nervous.  It will be repaired in a couple of weeks with $500 deductible.  I have a few other touch up items that I will get repaired at the same time so it will look good again.

Grandchildren are going dove hunting this weekend.  I may have to go get them.  Anyway, will finish mowing the back yard and get back to this steamy locomotive this weekend if she will eat.

Spent the morning butchering a big log.  New chainsaw is working like a champ!

Got the CV19 booster yesterday and I'm pretty much feeling like hammered dog poop.  Going to rest this afternoon.  See how I'm feeing tomorrow.

I'm hoping Marie and I can get the booster next week, kinda letting the hubub around it die down a little.
