I still love my Record Power lathe. I received a new controller in the mail a while back because a few people had a problem. About a month ago they had a recall on the bolt that holds the headstock down. I got the new part in the mail today. They also sent me a 2.5 inch mini Chuck for free. So far their customer service has been excellent.

 

Sounds like they are working real hard to correct the problems which have cropped up. It takes a lot of work to get a world class operation going and it appears that is what they want.

You picked the right one to buy.  Customer service goes a long way.

And, they sound honest to me.  Few companies these days will make a recall when they know it should.  When you find a company like this, it gives you faith in the equipment.  Good for you.
