August 7, 20214 yr Popular Post I wonder if those babies will pass them down, true heirlooms in the making!
August 7, 20214 yr Popular Post Have always wanted to try one just can't find that Round Tuit. Great job on those. We had a home shop demo on doing rattles and he use the small lettered blocks to make name bracelets, What do you use?
August 7, 20214 yr Popular Post Those are great. I made some for babies about 12 years ago but they were head knockers. And, I made an Appalachian baby rattler, but it worked better if the child layed it on the floor and rolled it. It would leave marks. If I can find some soft material to make them. Yes, those are heirlooms, but it seems the younger folks don't realize such values any more. Hopefully, they will soon change.

No name bracelets. I used Maple for these using one stick of wood for the grain match. Separate the ball and hollow it out getting the walls down to about an eighth inch thick and then glue them back together with an overlay? joint making sure the noise balls are installed. The joint is then hidden with the burn lines.
