Interesting. The cutters look almost identical to those used on a metal turning lathe.

    I think this is a metal lathe tool. No reason for it not to work just do not expect a very smooth surface. With the bar only 7 inches long I usually have at least 1.5 inches in handle so that leaved 5.5 inch bar to work with. Will need to watch tool rest spacing closely and move it up.

    The length is questionable and the points on the bits may hinder the cut.  They are designed for metal lathes.
