Our cover subject this issue is Jerry Mays, defensive end for the AFL-champion Kansas City Chiefs football team. A graduate of Southern Methodist University, Jerry was a scholastic All-American during his college years and is active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes for which he is in great demand as a speaker.

Standing 6 ft.4 in. and weighing 252 lbs., he proves that being religious is completely compatible with a bruising, body-contact sport like football. An all-around do-it-yourselfer, Jerry remodeled a den of his former home in Dallas, Texas. The den, of course, was decorated with pictures that he framed, making frames being his specialty.
