Teknatool Customer Service

Featured Replies

I just called Teknatool for the first time today.  I am looking for parts for a Nova Brand Lathe (1624).  I was sent to Customer Service message line and was told I would be called back within 48 hours.  Is this crazy?  I've been in Customer Service for 30+ years and have never, ever received this type of service.  This in my opinion is ridiculous!  48 hour wait just to talk to somebody?  They don't even know what my problem is yet.  Is it just me?  What is your experience with this company and the service they provide?  Please note...  this is for me personally, and has nothing to do with Easy Wood Tools.

It is becoming the way of the world.  Years ago we complained about poor or slow customer service.  Seems we expect it now and we praise a company like Easy Wood Tools when we receive good service because that is not the norm.

I find this infuriating!  I'm telling you right up front that I don't even care enough about you or your problem to call you back in 2 days!

48 hours for a call back... I would be P.O.ed beyond all measure I get irritated easily with customer support.  Amazon is just about as bad ordered a couple products and put a negative review and they held my delivery until the latest possible minute that they could.  So I feel your frustration @Jim from Easy Wood Tools.  I would call them back and keep pressing zero until you get to some one.  That's just what I would do at least.  Then Id complain to the higher ups for a crappy call back response and threaten to never buy from them again.  I'm pretty sure that would get their attention.

It is getting pretty crazy out there. I called Shopsmith tech support for a question about the drum on the belt sander and I had to make an appt 2 weeks in advance. Then they call you back at a designated time and if you happen to be on the phone and can’t answer you get to start all over again.

@Masonsailor that is crazy.  Begging you not to do business with them ever again...

I love my delta lathe replacing parts should be easily since its a pretty common lathe.  All I have to do is find the right part and just order with out having to deal with horrible customer service and tech support reps.  But I can say EWT customer service is by far the best I've ever dealt with over the phone.  Over any company I've talked to about tech questions and or just general purpose.  Some companies just don't get what it takes to have good CS reps and tech reps.

I had a Nova 1624-42 for a couple years. Their customer service had a lot to do with why I no longer have it.

I have to agree Jim. Sounds like very poor service. Happy I decided to go with Record Power now.
